Teaser for All Alone chapter 16

There was one sentence that Jasper said which was repeatedly going over in my head but I could not figure out why.

“I know for a fact that she wishes that you could be here with her but you will have your work cut out for you if you want her to forgive and trust her again.”

I wish I knew why that I kept repeating that particular sentence in my head until if finally dawned on me.

“I know for a fact that she wishes that you could be HERE with her but you will have your work cut out for you if you want her to forgive and trust her again.”

“SHIT” I yelled, jumping up off my chair.

HERE, means that she was staying with Jasper. She is only fifteen minutes away from me. I could be there with her while we both watch the interview together,” I thought, but just as quickly, as my excitement came it just as quickly evaporated.

I sat back down in my seat in defeat and thought, how can I earn back her trust back if I go rushing to her before she is ready. She needs to see the interview first and then decided whether she wants to see me.

“From this moment on, everything is going to be on her terms and I’ll just have to be patient if I was ever to have the chance to win her back.

“The ball is in her court and I will be happy to take whatever she gives me,” I thought.
